Why I want to work at Mochi Health
Hi, I’m Eunji!
I’m currently a Product Designer at Skalle it and I just finished my Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2024. I want to share why I’m so excited about the opportunity to work at Mochi Health and how I got into design!

How I Found My Passion for Healthcare Design
Early in my career, I worked in digital marketing and advertising photography, helping brands tell their stories visually. While I enjoyed the creativity, I wanted to do more—something with a real impact beyond business growth.
During the pandemic, using a telemedicine app for the first time was a turning point. I realized how technology could bridge healthcare gaps and improve access to care.
That curiosity led me to my first product design role at an AI healthcare startup. Though brief, the experience reshaped my perspective—designing for telemedicine and doctor-facing web apps taught me how thoughtful UX can make medical interactions more seamless and effective.

Why Mochi Health?
My interest in health and wellness started even earlier—back when I was studying photography. Every summer, I interned for fashion brands, working alongside models, stylists, and marketing teams. I saw firsthand how deeply personal and, at times, painful the conversation around weight and body image could be. Many models I worked with struggled with eating disorders, and I noticed how, as women, we are constantly judged, scrutinized, and made to feel insecure about our own bodies.
Weight and nutrition are often shrouded in shame, making it difficult for people to seek guidance without guilt or fear of judgment. That’s why Mochi Health’s mission resonates with me so deeply. It’s not just about weight management—it’s about providing a safe, accessible, and judgment-free space where people can take control of their health in a way that feels empowering rather than punishing.
The way Mochi Health prioritizes affordability and accessibility aligns with my belief that healthcare should be designed for everyone, not just for those with privilege. I’m excited by the idea of designing intuitive, user-centered experiences that help people build a healthier relationship with food and their bodies.
Why I’m a Great Fit for Mochi Health
I believe my unique combination of skills in product design, user research, and digital marketing makes me a strong candidate for this role. My experience designing for telemedicine and healthcare SaaS platforms has given me insight into how to create intuitive experiences for both patients and medical professionals. I understand the importance of accessibility, privacy, and clear communication in healthcare products, and I’m eager to bring that expertise to Mochi Health.
Beyond my technical skills, I’m deeply passionate about creating solutions that empower users. My background in marketing has taught me how to analyze user behavior, map user journeys, and design for engagement—skills that translate directly into crafting meaningful user experiences. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can work closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine designs based on real user feedback.
At the end of the day, I want to use design to make a real difference in people’s lives. That’s why I’m so excited about the possibility of joining Mochi Health and contributing to a product that helps people feel seen, supported, and empowered on their health journeys.
